Ready to be first in the queue? The enquiry takes about 60 seconds, there's no credit check when you first enquire, and your details go to one team — not a list of lenders.

How this after-hours planner works
Most finance timelines assume you're enquiring at 10am on a Tuesday. Real life isn't like that. Payroll gets checked on a Sunday night, supplier emails land after dinner, and a machine tends to break on the one day nobody can come out. This planner starts from the moment you're actually in, whatever the hour, and lays out the next 24 hours in four parts: what's worth doing tonight, what happens (and doesn't) overnight, when a real person reads your enquiry, and what's possible once they have a complete file.
It works out the next business morning by skipping weekends and the national public holidays that close the Reserve Bank's settlement system, RITS. According to the RBA's RITS operating information, RITS settles on days when banks are generally open in Sydney or Melbourne, and it closes for New Year's Day, Australia Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Anzac Day, the King's Birthday, Christmas Day and Boxing Day as observed in NSW and Victoria. That's the system property-secured loans ultimately settle through, which is why a caveat or mortgage can't settle on a Saturday no matter how ready everyone is.
What can happen tonight, and what has to wait
Plenty can happen before the banks reopen. You can send the enquiry, download bank statements from internet banking, pull a statement from ATO online services, find your rates notice and write down the purpose of the loan. Fast payments over the New Payments Platform also run around the clock — the RBA describes the NPP as enabling near real-time payments on a 24/7 basis.
What waits: a lending specialist's review, valuations, signing with a solicitor, property settlement, BPAY payments made after cut-off, and most lenders' release of loan funds. The planner is built around that split so you spend the night on the first list and nothing else.
Reading your result
- The dial shows the approximate hours between now and the start of the next business morning. It's a countdown for your preparation, not a funding clock.
- Tonight lists only the items you haven't ticked, so the list shrinks as you get organised. Come back and tick things off as you go.
- Overnight explains what's moving for your situation and what isn't, so there are no surprises at 9am.
- The flag appears if your deadline lands before the working day starts. That's your cue to message the person you owe tonight.
If you're working through something specific, the after-hours hub covers weeknights, weekends, long weekends, Easter and Christmas one by one, and the overnight preparation hub explains each document and where to find it at midnight. Why the enquiry is still worth sending tonight
Because order matters in the morning. An enquiry that arrives overnight is already waiting when the day starts, with your amount, purpose and situation written down while it's fresh in your mind. It costs nothing, there's no credit check when you first enquire, and a real person — not an auto-dialler — reads it. Fill it in as accurately as you can, especially the amount, what it's for and any property you own, and the first call can be about options rather than questions. Start your 60-second enquiry whenever you're ready.
Questions about the planner
Does the timeline builder send my details anywhere?
No. Everything runs in your browser and nothing you tick or type is stored or sent. It only becomes an enquiry if you choose to fill in the separate 60-second form on the apply page.
Why does the plan say someone calls on the next business morning?
Because that's the honest answer. The enquiry form is open around the clock, but lending specialists, valuers, solicitors and the banking system that settles property loans work business days. An enquiry sent at 11pm is read when the working day starts, which is why the hours in between are best spent getting documents ready.
Which public holidays does the tool know about?
It knows the days in 2026 and 2027 when the Reserve Bank's RITS settlement system is closed because a national public holiday is observed in New South Wales and Victoria, plus every weekend. If there's a state or local holiday where you are, tick the box and the tool skips that day too.
Can money move overnight at all?
Some can. Fast payments over the New Payments Platform, including Osko and PayID transfers, run around the clock, although banks may hold some payments for security checks. Property settlements, BPAY and most lenders' loan releases wait for a banking business day.
Is the funding speed in the plan a promise?
No. It shows what's possible for your type of security once a complete file is in front of a specialist. Property-secured amounts from $20k to $250k are possible the same day, up to $5m is possible within 24–48 hours, and smaller unsecured amounts can sometimes be funded the same day. Your specialist gives you a realistic date on the first call.
What if my deadline is before the next business morning?
The plan flags it. The most useful step tonight is usually a short, calm message to whoever you owe, explaining that funding is being arranged and when you expect to know more. Then send your enquiry so it's first in line when the day starts.
No credit check to enquire
Sending an enquiry at midnight leaves your credit file untouched. A credit check only comes up once you choose to go ahead.
No spray-and-pray
Your details go to one team, not a list of lenders. No flood of calls on Monday morning from people you never asked to hear from.
A real person picks it up
A lending specialist reads what you wrote and calls you. Honest, accurate answers on the form mean the right option comes up first time.
The form is open. The plan is made. Send it tonight.
