How it works
How it works, from 11pm to funded
The form works any hour. The people work business hours. Here's how the two fit together.
There's nothing complicated about the process. The difference is that we plan it around when you actually think about money — which, for most owners, is well outside office hours.
- 1
Any hour — send the 60-second enquiry
Amount, purpose, state, trading details and any property you own. No credit check when you first enquire, and no obligation.
- 2
Tonight — get ready while the banks are closed
Download statements, photograph ID, find your rates notice and mortgage statements, and write down how the loan gets repaid.
- 3
Next business morning — a real person reads it
A lending specialist reviews exactly what you sent. Nobody else gets your details.
- 4
The first call — options that fit
We talk through what's realistic: property-secured or unsecured, how much, how fast and what's needed. The call may come from a number you don't recognise.
- 5
Documents, approval and settlement — business days
Only once you choose to go ahead. Property-secured loans settle through the banking system on business days; funds go to your account or straight to whoever needs paying.
What you can do before morning
The quiet hours are the most useful part of the process. Use them for anything that doesn't need anyone else to be awake: the overnight preparation guides cover each document and where to find it after dark, and the ready-by-morning score shows what you're missing.
What waits for a business day
Assessment, valuations, signing and settlement happen on business days. Property-secured loans settle through the Reserve Bank's RITS system, which is closed on weekends and national public holidays. Our money after hours section explains which payments move overnight and which don't.
Common questions
Will anyone call me overnight?
No. Your enquiry is read when the working day starts and you'll hear from a specialist during business hours. If you'd prefer a particular time, say so in your enquiry.
Does enquiring on a weekend put me behind?
It puts you ahead. A weekend enquiry is waiting at the start of the next business day, and the weekend is the ideal time to gather documents.
Does enquiring affect my credit score?
No. There's no credit check when you first enquire. A credit check is only discussed once you decide to go ahead.
Will my details be sent to lots of lenders?
No. One team handles your situation and matches it properly. Your phone won't light up with calls from strangers.
How quickly can funds arrive?
With a complete file, $20k to $250k is possible the same day against property, up to $5m is possible within 24–48 hours, and same-day funding is possible for smaller unsecured amounts. Settlement happens on business days.
