FAQ

After-hours questions, answered

The things people ask us most, usually late at night.

See if you qualify →No credit check to enquire
Can I enquire about a business loan at night?

Yes. The enquiry form is open around the clock and takes about 60 seconds. It's read by a real person when the working day starts, so a night-time enquiry is already waiting when the team begins.

When will someone call me back?

During business hours on the next business day, or the same day if you enquire during business hours. We won't ring in the middle of the night. The call may come from a number you don't recognise, so keep your phone handy in the morning.

Does enquiring affect my credit score?

No. There's no credit check when you first enquire, whatever the time. A credit check is only discussed once you've talked through the options and decided to go ahead.

Will my details be sent to other lenders?

No. Your enquiry goes to one team who work on your situation. It isn't sold, shared around or blasted to a list of lenders.

Can a business loan be funded on a weekend?

Rarely. Lenders generally approve and release funds in business hours, and property-secured loans settle through the Reserve Bank's RITS system, which is closed on weekends and national public holidays. The weekend is best used for preparation.

Do bank transfers work on weekends?

Fast payments over the New Payments Platform, including Osko and PayID transfers, run 24/7 between participating banks, although some payments may be held for security checks. BPAY and some other payment types wait for the next banking business day.

What about public holidays?

National public holidays such as Good Friday, Easter Monday, Christmas Day and Boxing Day close the RITS settlement system as observed in NSW and Victoria, so they behave like a Sunday for settlements. Enquiries still come through; they're picked up on the next business morning.

How much can I borrow?

Property-secured business loans range from $20,000 to $5,000,000. Unsecured, cash-flow and line-of-credit options for trading businesses are typically $5,000 to $500,000, sized on turnover and bank statements.

How fast can funding happen?

With a complete file, $20k to $250k is possible the same day with property security, up to $5m is possible within 24–48 hours, and same-day funding is possible for smaller unsecured amounts. These are possibilities that depend on documents and assessment.

What should I get ready overnight?

Six months of business bank statements, photo ID for each director or owner, your ABN or ACN, a few lines on what the money is for and how it gets repaid, and — if you're offering property — the latest rates notice and mortgage statements.

Can I get a business loan with bad credit or ATO debt?

Past credit issues and ATO debt are considered case by case. Property security often widens the options. Be upfront in your enquiry; it helps us match you properly.

Do you publish interest rates?

No. Every loan is priced on the business, the security and the situation, so a published rate would mislead more people than it helped. Your specialist explains the full cost before you commit to anything.

Is this for personal loans?

No. We only help with finance for business purposes.

Do I need to own property?

No. Trading businesses without property can be considered for unsecured and cash-flow options. Property security generally allows larger amounts and is what makes the fastest settlements possible.

Why do you ask for accurate answers on the form?

Because the right option depends on the details — amount, purpose, state, trading history and any property. Accurate answers mean the first call is about solutions instead of corrections.

What if my deadline is before the next business morning?

Send the enquiry anyway, then send a short, calm message to whoever you owe explaining that funding is being arranged and when you'll update them. Our Your next 24 hours tool flags this and helps you plan the night.

Still wondering? The Your next 24 hours planner answers most "what happens next" questions for your exact situation, or you can send an enquiry and ask a real person.
